Obituary of Concetta Wendel

Concetta R. "Connie" Wendel passed away April 21, 2011 in Eastern Niagara Hospital, Lockport. Born April 1, 1924 in Lockport she was the daughter Anthony and Mary (nee DiPasquantono) D'Angelo. Connie worked for 40 years at Harrison Radiator she started in the cafeteria then to production and retired 1984 as an inspector. Connie loved to socialize and shop and was a devoted mom to her son "Marty" and an advocate for the disabled. She was predeceased by her husband Arthur Wendel in 1984 and her grandson Patrick Schrader, Jr. in 2006. Connie is survived by her children Marietta (Patrick) Schrader of Lockport and Lester "Marty" Wendel of North Tonawanda; grandmother of Michael Schrader; sister of Frances Brown of Lockport and the late Roseanne Bangasser, Grace D'Angelo, Jessie Garuder, Louise Schultz, Ida DeCarlo, Amelia Manna and Patrick D'Angelo; also survived by several nieces and nephews.
