Joseph Palachuvattil passed away on Sunday May 15, 2022 at Kenmore Mercy Hospital.  Born in Keecheri, India, he was the son of the late Mathew and Annakutty Palachuvattil.  Prior to his retirement, he was a Computer Programmer for Marketing Decisions Group in Clarence.

Joseph is survived by his wife of 46 years, Anna (nee Abraham) Palachuvattil; daughter Giann Palachuvattil, and son Joel Palachuvattil; siblings Thresyamma (Robert) Luiz, PM Mary (Joseph), James (Elizabeth) Mathew, Rev. Mathew Palachuvattil, George (Annie) Mathew, and Thomas (Rani) Mathew.  Joseph was predeceased by his sister Annakutty (Joseph) Joseph;  he is also survived by many family and friends.

Friends may call on Thursday May 19th 4-8 PM at Prudden and Kandt Funeral Home, 242 Genesee Street, Lockport.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday May 20th at 10 AM at St. John the Baptist RC Church, 168 Chestnut Street, Lockport.  Interment will be in Cold Spring Cemetery.  Online condolences at www.pruddenandkandt.com

In lieu of flowers, the family asks donations be made to the Visiting Nursing Association of Western New York, or Digestive Disease Research & Education at the Cleveland Clinic.

Like countless others, receiving blood transfusions was an important part of Joseph’s medical care.  The family is grateful to all the people they will never meet whose altruism helped Joseph during the past twenty years.  If you are able, please donate blood at any upcoming blood drive in your local area.
