Louis J. Valery entered into eternal life on May 5, 2022 in his home in Venice, Florida. Born September 14, 1932, in Lockport, NY, Louis was the son of Joseph (Casey) and Frances (Enzinna) Valery.  Louis spent most of his life in Lockport, NY. He was a member of the first graduating class at the DeSales Catholic High School. Louis played basketball in the Navy for two years, then continued his education with a football scholarship to Michigan State. He worked for 20 years at Simonds Saw and Steel, and co-founded Niagara Specialty Metals Inc. in 1982. Louis retired in 1996 for more time on the golf course. Louis relocated to Venice, Florida in 2002.

 

Louis is survived by his devoted wife of 63 years, Anne (Daskavitz) Valery; his children Louis, Thomas (Elizabeth), and Jeffrey (Danielle); grandchildren, twins Joseph and Catherine (Thomas), Sabina, Louis Joseph, and Amelia (Louis), Jeffrey and Thomas (Jeffrey); along with several cousins, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his sisters, Nina Batt, Amelia (Toddy) Marotta and Carol Ryan.
