Obituary of John Ahlstrom Sr
John N. Ahlstrom, Sr. passed away April 26, 2022 in Niagara Hospice House. Born November 16, 1942 in Buffalo he was the son of Harold and Hazel (Stockwell) Ahlstrom. John served in the National Guard and worked for NYSEG in Somerset, NY where he was an electrical engineer. He served on the board of Fellowship House and was instrumental in the genesis of Madonna House, both addiction recovery centers. John was predeceased by his wife Barbara (Meyers) Ahlstrom and his son John “Jay” Ahlstrom Jr.
He is survived by his daughter Carolyn (Justin) Pilarcik; daughter-in-law Jennifer Ahlstrom; granddaughters Eleanor and Audrey Pilarcik; sister-in-law Janet (Dennis) Badame; also several nieces.
