Obituary of Charles Sobieraski
Charles Sobieraski passed away April 6, 2022 in Millard Fillmore Suburban Hospital. Born October 30, 1933 in Lockport he was the son of Stanley and Katherine (Genewick) Sobieraski. Charlie served in the US Army 1956 to 1958 and seven years with the National Guard. He was employed with the City of Lockport Police Department for 35 years. Charlie served on the Lockport School Board for over 20 years, 12 years he served as President of the Board. He was active with the Lockport Little Loop, was a volunteer coach for Lockport Little League Baseball and Lockport Little Loop Football, served on the board for Lockport Midget Baseball League for over 40 years, and ran the Little Beavers Club for kids. Charlie enjoyed attending his grandkids sporting events and he enjoyed bowling. He was predeceased by his first wife, Marilyn (Conley), whom he was married to for 40 years, and his brother John Sobieraski.
Charlie is survived by his wife Elaine Farchione Sobieraski; children Michael, Dawn (Rich) Smith, Mark (Anne), David (Kathy), and Dennis; step-children Joe (Mary) Farchione, James Farchione, and Jennifer Vogel; grandchildren Lea, Emma, Charlie, and Hanna; step-grandchildren Rowan, Hannah, Patrick, Samuel, Joey, Jake, and Luke; in-laws Dick (Sally) Conley, Constance Conley, and Donna Cameran; also several nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated Monday, April 11th at 10 AM in All Saints Parish, 76 Church St., Lockport. Entombment will be in Glenwood Mausoleum.
