Peter J. Pellicano passed away Saturday April 9, 2011, while under the care of Niagara Hospice. Born July 8, 1951 in Reggio Calabria, Italy, he was the son of Mariangela and the late Domenico Pellicano. He worked as the Bakery and Grocery Manager at Tops Market in Lockport for 20 years, and most recently worked at Save A-Lot in Lockport for the past 10 years. Peter was best known for having the largest Christmas tree he could find and loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren, who affectionately called him "Adots," whenever his family was together it was always a party. Peter also loved playing golf no matter what the weather was.

He is survived by his loving wife of 39 years, Emily (nee Muenzer) Pellicano. Peter was the father of Elizabeth (Tom) Tomaino and Dominic Pellicano, both of Lockport and Peter Pellicano of Tenn. "Adots" of Kyle Pellicano, Sydney Tomaino, Thomas Tomaino Jr. and Saywer Pellicano. Peter is also survived by his siblings Antonino (Fortunata) Pellicano, Francesco (Maria) Pellicano, Paul (Lynn) Pellicano, Antoinette (Michael) Molinaro and Marianna Pellicano and the late Vincenzo, Mario and Stefano Pellicano. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Friends may call Tuesday evening 7 to 9 PM and Wednesday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM in Prudden and Kandt Funeral Home, 242 Genesee St., Lockport, where prayers will be offered Thursday morning at 9:30 AM, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 AM to be celebrated in St. Joseph's R.C. Church, 391 Market Street, Lockport. Entombment will be in Glenwood Mausoleum. Memorials to Niagara Hospice would be appreciated by the family.

Friends may call Tuesday evening 7 to 9 PM and Wednesday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM.

Services

Prayers will be offered at the funeral home Thursday morning at 9:30 AM, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 AM to be celebrated in St. Joseph's R.C. Church, 391 Market Street, Lockport.

Interment

Entombment will be in Glenwood Mausoleum.
