Catherine "Kay" Rimmer McEachon of Lockport, passed away April 9, 2011 of natural causes after a short illness at Eastern Niagara Hospital. Born in July 23, 1923 in Columbus Hospital in Buffalo, daughter of the late Joseph and Lena (Schwab) Rimmer and sister of the late Joseph (Rita) Rimmer (deceased). She is predeceased by her husband John J. McEachon, who passed away January 7, 1994.
Kay previously worked for Norton Laboratory and Harrison Radiator. Always ready and willing to help anyone she mostly enjoyed spending time with her friends and family.
She is survived by her four children, J. Michael (Tammy) McEachon of Lockport, Patricia A. (David) Dockum of South Carolina, Joseph D. (Cynthia) McEachon of East Amherst, Mary R (David) Latta of Lockport as well as her beloved grandchildren Cindi Beyer, Brian (Kelly) McEachon, Courtney, Taylor, Joseph McEachon, and Julie, Keith Latta and great grand children Emilee McEachon and Lily Rose Beyer.
Relatives and friends may call Tuesday April 12, 2-4, and 7-9pm. in Prudden and Kandt Funeral Home on 242 Genesee Lockport, where prayers will be offered Wednesday April 13th at 9:30 am followed by a Mass of Christian burial at 10 AM to be celebrated in St. John the Baptist R.C. Church, 168 Chestnut St., Lockport. Interment will be in Queen of Heaven Cemetery, 6843 Tonawanda Creek Road, Lockport. Memorial contributions to be made in lieu of flowers in honor of her beloved husband to the Multiple Sclerosis Society and Veterans of Foreign Wars.
