John W. Dickinson entered peacefully into rest on March 12, 2022. He was born on February 18, 1947 to Carl and Dorothy (Wright) Dickinson. He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Judy (Waite) Dickinson, his five children, John Faux, Jeffrey (Joan) Faux, Willow (Michael) Moran, Melanie (David) Schulz and Emily (Jason) White. He was the proud grandfather of 11 grandchildren. He was predeceased by his two brothers Robert and Wayne Dickinson and is survived by his sister, Lynda Southcott.

John worked in the fuel industry as a service technician for most of his adult life, retiring from Cortland Pump in 2012. John was an avid music lover and played bass in several praise bands at local Lutheran churches. John enjoyed hunting and fishing, woodworking, spending time with his family and playing pool at the Dale Association.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Mt. Olive Lutheran Church, Chestnut Ridge Road Lockport on Saturday March 19, 2022 at 12:00 PM. An hour of visitation with the family will be held prior to the service, with a luncheon following.
