Obituary of Michael DeFilippo Jr.

Michael J. DeFilippo, of Lockport, entered into rest Friday April 8, 2011 at his home, under the care of Niagara Hospice. Born July 3, 1946 in Lockport, he was the son of the late Michael and Ann DeFilippo. Michael worked in maintenance at Harrison Radiator for 33 years, retiring in July of 1999, he also served as a committeeman for several years. Michael enjoyed spending time with family and friends, loved playing cards and most of all being outdoors. He is survived by his loving wife of 30 years, Karen Sue DeFilippo. He was the stepfather of Ronesue Chase, Darcie (James) Ferraro and Tammie (Daniel White) Mottorn; grandfather of Joseph (Alicia), Stephanie, James, Matthew, Samantha, Joey, Tyler, Angelina, Anthony and the late Adam; great grandfather to Ava. Brother of John (Kathy) DeFilippo and Charles (Virginia) DeFilippo; brother in-law to Donna (Ronald) Magolis and the late Donald Harper. Michael is also survived by several nieces and nephews. Friends may call Monday 2 to 5 PM in Prudden and Kandt Funeral Home, 242 Genesee Street, Lockport, where funeral services will immediately follow at 5 PM.
