Obituary of Bruce J. Ciemny Jr
Bruce John Ciemny, Jr. passed away March 1, 2022 in Eastern Niagara Hospital. Born March 10, 1966 in Buffalo he is the son of Bruce John (late Linda) Ciemny Sr. and Kathleen (James) Kreuger Kinney. Bruce served in the US Air Force from 1985 to 2005 being awarded several awards such as the Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal, the Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, and the Outstanding Airman of the Year Ribbon. Joining in 1985 at Griffiss AFB in Rome, NY and was stationed in Lakeland AFB in San Antonio, TX Bruce was deployed for Operation Desert Shield/ Desert Storm, Operation Iraqi Freedom, and deployments throughout Europe and the United States during in military career. After his retirement from the Air Force Bruce has been working for the WNY Healthcare System with the Buffalo VA for 16 years where he was a logistics manager. He was a member of the AmVets and enjoyed sports card collecting, was a fan of the Buffalo Bandits, attending his sons Brandon and Carson’s sporting events and spending his lunch breaks with his daughter Alyssa.
Besides his parents Bruce is also survived by his wife of 35 years Sheri (Lee) Ciemny; children Brandon, Carson, and Alyssa Ciemny; siblings Michelle Cox, Beth (Mike) Galanis, Kandy (Parker) Greenman, Paul (Darcy) Ciemny, and Matthew (Karen) Austin; also several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.
Relatives and friends may call Sunday, March 6th from 1-4 PM in Prudden & Kandt Funeral Home, 242 Genesee St., Lockport where funeral services will be held Monday, March 7th at 10 AM. Interment will be in Cold Springs cemetery. Visit pruddenandkandt.com
