Obituary of Anthony A. Pagliei, Sr.
Anthony A. Pagliei Sr. passed away February 25, 2022 at Mount View Assisted Living Facility. Born August 6, 1931 in Giuliano di Roma, Italy, he was the son of Francis and Delia Pagliei. Anthony came to the United States when he was 15 years old and worked for General Motors Harrison Radiator Division. He served in the Army during the Korean War and was honorably discharged in 1954. He was actively involved in St. Anthony's and St. John's Churches serving as an usher for both. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus and the Tony Nemi Sports League. Anthony was an avid golfer and bowler, belonging to several leagues and winning a number of trophies and tournaments. Anthony was a loving father, grandfather and great grandfather to his family.
Anthony is predeceased by his loving wife, Domenica Mamie Pagliei and brother Primo Pagliei. He is survived by his sister Rita Crist Johns; children Renee (Ed) Gross, Anthony (Maria) Pagliei, Jr., and Lori Shanley; grandchildren Chad Gross, Andrea (Dan) Martin, Craig Gross, Anthony Pagliei III, Tanya (James) Cain, Samantha Pagliei, Ryan (Marla) Shanley, and Kyle (Marissa) Shanley; and 12 great grandchildren.
Relatives and friends may call Thursday, March 3rd from 4-7 PM at Prudden & Kandt Funeral Home, 242 Genesee St., Lockport. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday, March 4th at 10 AM in St. John the Baptist RC Church, 168 Chestnut St., Lockport. Entombment will be in Glenwood Mausoleum.
