Obituary of Roger W. Miner

Roger W. Miner passed away January 5, 2022 in Elderwood at Lockport.  Born September 21, 1935 in Lockport he was the son of Samuel and Elsie (Korff) Miner.  Roger served in the US Army from 1955 to 1957.  He was part owner of Korff Electric.  After retirement he started “Roger Limousine”, and he also drove cars to Florida for the snow birds for a number of years.  Roger restored corvettes and classic cars for a hobby and did the garage sale scene with his three buddies on Saturday’s for more than 20 years.  You could see him most mornings at Tim Horton’s as he was a regular.

Roger is survived by his wife of 53 years, Joan (Behe) Miner; sons Jeffrey (Barbara), Daniel (Joanne), and Jon (Angela); step-daughters Roxanne (Patrick) Walker, Rochelle Steen, Rebecca Steen, and Roberta (Paul) Conley; twenty grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.

Relatives and friends may call Saturday, January 15th from 11 AM – 2 PM at Prudden & Kandt Funeral Home, 242 Genesee St., Lockport with a gathering immediately following from 3-5 PM at the Wolcottsville Inn.  Inurnment will be at a later date in the Western New York National Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers donations to the Niagara Hospice, 4675 Sunset Dr., Lockport, NY 14094 or at www.niagarahospice.org or to Heart of Niagara Animal Rescue, 3652 Ewings Rd., Lockport, NY 14094 or at www.heartofniagara.org would be appreciated.  Visit pruddenandkandt.com.
