Obituary of James A. Penland
James A. Penland Went to be with our Lord December 31, 2021. Born November 6, 1946 in Asheville, NC he was the son of Burdette and Virgie Hodge Penland. James served in the US Air Force from 1965 to 2001, retiring as a Major. He served two tours in Vietnam and then in Desert storm. James was awarded several medals and ribbons throughout his military career.
James is survived by his beloved wife Beverly (Behm) Penland whom he married November 9, 1985; Two Sons James (Jamie) Penland, and Richard P. Penland; and his beloved dog Buster Brown. Two grandsons J.T. and Jackson Penland; siblings Jerry (Debbie) Penland, Mike (Karen) Penland, Sharon (Edward) Luciano, and late Gary Penland and Sandra Orr also several nieces and nephews.
Services will be held at a later date. Memorials may be made to Trinity Lutheran Church, 67 Saxton St. Lockport, NY 14094. www.pruddenandkandt.com.
