Obituary of Frances L. Florio

Frances L. Florio passed away peacefully at home December 18, 2021 surrounded by family and friends, under the care of Niagara Hospice.  Born September 24, 1936, a lifelong resident of Lockport, she was the daughter of Nicholas and Lena (Ruberto) DeFilippo.  Frances worked at Shamus Restaurant where she waitressed over twenty years.  Beside her work, she also enjoyed cooking, gardening, shopping, music, and especially loved spending time with her family.

Frances is survived by her sons Jack (Rebecca), Michael (Denise), and Daniel (Deborah) Florio; grandchildren Michael, Christopher, Kevin, Amy, Nicole, and Dominic Florio; great grandchildren Roxy Florio; also, several nieces and nephews.  She was predeceased by her siblings Dominick, Angelo, Loren, John, Mary, Nicholas DeFilippo, Virginia Rising, and Ellen Anterline.

Relatives and friends may call Thursday, January 6th from 4-7 PM in Prudden & Kandt Funeral Home, 242 Genesee St., Lockport.  A Memorial Mass will be celebrated Friday, January 7th 10 AM in St. John the Baptist RC Church, 168 Chestnut St., Lockport.  Visit pruddenandkandt.com.
