William S. Farley passed away Saturday March 26, 2011 at Roswell Park Cancer Institute, Buffalo into the presence of his Lord and Savior. Born September 9, 1935 in Lockport, he was the son of the late Clifton W. and M. Mary Morson Farley. William served in the US Army from 1954 to 1955. He was the owner and president of Farley Riggers & Movers in Lockport, where he worked right up until his illness. William enjoyed spending time with his family and restoring classics cars. He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Marcia M. Van Dusen Farley.
William was the father of Cheryl (Dr. Robert) Stenberg of Johnstown, PA., Pauline Farley of Lockport, Carla (Gene) Coday of Carrollton Tx. and Jeffrey (Kimberly) Farley of Burt, NY. Grandfather of Ryan (Khanh), Erin and Amber Stenberg, Ariel, Marissa and Natalie Coday, Joshua (Tina), Nathan, Luke and Adam Farley; brother of Maurice (Barbara) Farley of Dunedin, Fl., Margaret (Robert) Dunbar of Lockport and the late Merle (Mary) Farley of Clearwater, FL. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Friends may call Tuesday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM in Prudden and Kandt Funeral Home, 242 Genesee Street, Lockport, where services will be held Wednesday morning at 10:30 AM. Interment will be in Glenwood Cemetery. Memorials to the AMOC, Lake Road, Olcott, NY, or a charity of ones choice would be appreciated by the family. Online condolences at www.pruddenandkandt.com.
