Obituary of Stephen Hanna

Stephen J. Hanna passed away August 23, 2009 in Niagara Hospice House. Born December 4, 1943 in Rochester, NY he was the son of the late Frederick and Virginia (Lee) Hanna. Stephen was a graduate of Newfane High School and served in the US Navy from 1962 to 1966 during the Vietnam War. He worked for 30 years at Harrison Radiator retiring in 1998. Stephen served on the Board of Directors and was Disaster Chairman for the Niagara Chapter of the American Red Cross. He was an avid golfer and enjoyed wintering in Florida. Stephen is survived by his wife of 28 years Mary (LaForest) Hanna of Lockport; father of Karie (Dan) Myers of Wilson and Greg Hanna of Olcott; grandfather of Katelyn and Jennifer Myers and Kyle Hanna; brother of Sharon (Dwain) Greenawalt of Appleton, Doug Hanna of Niagara Falls, Kevin Hanna of Newfane, Terry (Nancy) Hanna of California and the late Andrea Hanna and Diane Bertram; also survived by several nieces and nephews. There will be no prior visitation. Private funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family.
