Margaret Kern passed away November 7, 2021 in Elderwood of Lockport.  Born September 18, 1936 in Niagara Falls, NY she was the daughter of Edward and Ruth (Jackson) Dugan.  She graduated from D’Youville College with her Bachelor’s Degree.  Margaret taught in many elementary schools in Niagara Falls.  She was predeceased by her husband Hubert Kern on January 27, 2006.

Margaret is survived by her children Mary Catherine (Glenn) Mandelson, Mary Ruth (Daryl) Blickenstaff, Mary Frances (Joel) Daum, Christopher (Patricia) Kern, Mary Agnes Kern, and Mary Elizabeth (Tony) Kern; grandchildren Michael Daum, Brother Anthony of the Desert (Daum), Elizabeth, Kathryn, Theresa, Sarah, Joseph Blickenstaff, Philomena Kern, and Nicholas and Joshua Mandelson; she was the sister of Mary (late Gene) Jackson, Shirley (Joseph) Contento, Theresa Dugan, and the late Delores (Frank) Orfano and Joseph Dugan; also several nieces and nephews.

A private Mass was celebrated at the convenience of the family.  Interment was in Queen of Heaven Cemetery.  In Lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the Lockport Public Library, 23 East Ave., Lockport, NY 14094 or at www.lockportlibrary.org would be appreciated.  Visit pruddenandkandt.com.
