I was Mellissa’s teacher in third and fifth grades, and I adored her. She was one of those kids you will always remember.. I loved her big personality and the way she honestly approached life…she could be a handful, yes, but she almost always made me smile when we came to an understanding. I was glad we were able to connect on Facebook a few years ago and I enjoyed seeing her family. I’m so upset to read that she has passed away. Please know that she will always have a special place in my heart.
