Obituary of Richard R. Thunhorst
Richard R. Thunhorst passed away October 10, 2021 under the care of Niagara Hospice. Born August 1, 1946 in Pittsburgh, PA he was the son of Russell and Catherine (Skolnik) Thunhorst. Richard earned his Bachelor’s degree from Penn State University and worked for Delphi (Harrison Radiator Div of GM) for 30 years in Lockport where he was a financial officer retiring in 1999. He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Lockport, also belonged to the Lockport Lions Club where he was a former president, and the Dale Association serving as treasurer. Richard enjoyed golfing and playing pickleball.
Richard is survived by his wife, Judith (Toye) Thunhorst; children Tonia (Gary) Tocke and Daniel Thunhorst; grandchildren Kathryn Tocke, Benjamin Tocke, and William Tocke; siblings Dale (Carol) Thunhorst and Michelle Yekich; also several nieces and nephews.
