Obituary of Robert D. Fahs
Robert D. Fahs passed away September 14, 2021 in Eastern Niagara Hospital. Born February 11, 1948 in Lockport he was the son of Chester E. and June (Roberts) Fahs. Robert worked in production for Harrison Radiator for 37 years retiring in 2005. Bob was a devoted member of the Loyal Order of Moose for 35 years, where he held memberships in the Tuscaloosa, AL lodge #804, Churchville, NY Lodge #2244 and Lock City, NY Lodge #617. He was a member of Genesee Valley Henrietta Moose Legion #61 and Moose Legion Progress 62. Bob earned his Fellowship Degree in 1994 and his Pilgrim Degree of Merit, the highest degree bestowed on a member, in 2006. Bob held offices at the Lodge, State, and International levels, but in all his years of service to the Moose, his greatest contribution by far, was the mentoring of those who follow him. Bob was committed to ensuring the legacy of the Moose and made sure to teach others, in hopes that they would be as caring and dedicated as him, but also to help them progress within the fraternity. He was predeceased by his wife Bonita M. (McKenzie) Fahs on June 19, 2017.
Robert is survived by his children Tracey (Jeff) Peterson, Krista Fahs, and Robert (Amanda) Fahs, Jr.; step-children Frank Rider (Janice), Robert Rider, late Randy Rider (Cindy), Tina Newman (Ronald) and their children and grandchildren; grandchildren Isabella Fahs, Declan Peterson, and R.J. Fahs; siblings Dawn (Ronald) Laubacker and Paul Fahs; also several nieces and nephews.
