Obituary of Julia E. Colletti

Julia E. Colletti passed away on Friday, August 27th 2021, at Niagara Hospice House.  Born in Buffalo on February 11, 1933, she was the daughter of the late Leo and Victoria Ziemba.  Julia worked at Marine Midland Bank in Lockport for 25 years.  She enjoyed gardening, cooking, and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren.  She was the caretaker of her son James Colletti until he passed away October 8, 2019.  She is also predeceased by her husband Carl E. Colletti, who passed away August 4, 1998, her daughter Shirley Colletti Proulx who passed away April 24, 1999 and seven of her siblings.

Julia is survived by her daughter Mary Jo McCarty and son Michael (Patricia) Colletti; grandchildren Anthony (Angel) Coppola, Michael Colletti Jr., Melissa (Peter) Liberatore, Stephanie Coppola, Brian McCarty II, Thomas McCarty, Julie Ann (Charlie) McCarty; great grandchildren Brayden, Enzo, Nino and Nico.  Julia is also survived by her brother Leo (Eleanor) Ziemba and several nieces and nephews. 

Friends may call on Friday September 3rd, 5-8 PM at Prudden and Kandt Funeral Home, 242 Genesee Street, Lockport, where services will be held on Saturday September 4th at 11 AM.  Interment will be in Cold Springs Cemetery.  Memorials to the First Presbyterian Church, 21 Church Street, Lockport, NY 14094 or to Niagara Hospice, 4675 Sunset Drive, Lockport, NY 14094 would be appreciated by the family.  Online Condolences at www.pruddenandkandt.com.
