Obituary of James E. Clewell

James E. Clewell, age 67, of the Town of Lockport, passed away on Friday, August 20, 2021.  Born in the Town of Tonawanda, NY to the late John Wilson and Eleanor (nee Theisen) Clewell, he had been employed as a truck driver for Krafft Trucking in the Town of Pendleton.  James was a member of Rapids Fire Company and was a past member of Wolcottsville Fire Company.  He also was a past member and past Fire Chief of South Lockport Fire Company. 

He is survived by his beloved wife of 38 years, Deborah L. (nee Dunham) Clewell, a daughter Jamie (Aaron Bair) Bowes, a son Justin (Carly Jurewicz) Clewell, a son-in-law Joseph Bowes; three grandchildren, Parker Clewell, Maycle Bowes, and Colby Bair, a step-granddaughter Layla Fix; a brother Paul (Joan) Clewell, and his beloved dog Mason.  James was also predeceased by his brother John Clewell. 

Family will be present to receive relatives and friends on Wednesday, August 25, from 3-7 PM at Prudden and Kandt Funeral Home, Inc. 242 Genesee St. in the City of Lockport where a brief Prayer Service will be held at 7 PM following the visitation.  Burial will be private.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Rapids Volunteer Fire Co.  7195 Plank Road Lockport, NY 14094.
