Obituary of Joan Summers
Fern Joan McDonald Summers passed away August 20, 2021 in Newfane Rehab & Health Care Center. Born in Buffalo April 22, 1942 Fern was the daughter of Valentine & Florence McDonald (both deceased), she was a resident of North Tonawanda for 50 years. Joan loved her family, friends and her faith. She was very proud of her grandchildren and enjoyed the time they spent together.
Fern is survived by her loving husband of 61 years David C. Summers; children David V. Summers, Colleen-Kelly (Daniel) Bright, Karen (Peter) Spearman (deceased), and Dennis (Lynda) Summers; grandchildren Jake, Samantha & Zack Summers, and Jackson Bright; sister of Edward McDonald & Janet Tallman (both deceased).
