Obituary of John H. Covell

John H. Covell passed away August 17, 2021 in Northgate Health Care Facility, Wheatfield.  Born May 15, 1940 in North Tonawanda he was the son of Clarence J. and Rhoda K. Covell.  John graduated from Lockport High School Class of 1959, served in the US Army from 1963-1965, and worked in production for Harrison Radiator Div of GM where he retired from.  He enjoyed stock racing at Ransomville Speedway, attending go-cart racing, enjoyed camping with his family, very active volunteer with Habitat for Humanity, also was an active member with Warrens Corners United Methodist Church. 

Besides his parents John was also predeceased by his brothers Richard and Robert Covell.  He is survived by his sister-in-law Mary Lou Covell, several cousins, niece, nephews, and friends.

Relatives and friends may call Sunday, August 22nd from 1-3 PM in Prudden & Kandt Funeral Home, 242 Genesee St., Lockport.  A graveside service will be held Monday, August 23rd at 11 AM in Wrights Corners Cemetery, Ridge Road.  In lieu of flowers donations to Habitat for Humanity, 75 East Ave., Lockport, NY 14094 or to Niagara Hospice, 4675 Sunset Dr., Lockport, NY 14094 would be appreciated.  Visit pruddenandkandt.com.
