Obituary of William Lee Allan
Seneca Falls, NY - William (Bill) Lee Allan, age 80, passed away on July 20, 2021, in Lockport, NY.
Bill was born on April 17,1941 in Lyons, NY. He graduated from Mynderse Academy in Seneca Falls NY. After graduating Bill joined the United States Navy and proudly served his country for the next four years. Upon returning home in 1963, he met and married Diane McNaney.
Bill was a great family man and a loving father, the couple had two children together. Bill cherished spending time with his family and friends by going on picnics, spending his Sundays at the lake or just simply working around the house. He was especially proud of his four grandchildren and their accomplishments.
Bill proudly worked as an Iron Worker for Local #33 in Rochester, NY for over 25 years. His professional “hard work ethic” was evident in his early love for the sport of football and his favorite team the Miami Dolphins. He loved weightlifting whether at his house or at the local gym, he could be found there in his spare time for much of his life.
Loving the warm weather, Bill had the opportunity to move to Boca Raton, FL in his early retirement years where he owned and operated World’s Gym. He relocated to Lockport, NY in 2013 where he could be closer to his family.
Bill is survived by; Diane Allan, of Waterloo, NY, his children; Tracey (Dave) McIntyre of Bigfork, MT, David (Lisa) Allan, of Lockport, NY; his grandchildren, Caitlin (Ben) Rookey of Fort Worth, TX, Brynn McManus of Lewisville, TX, Bradley Allan, of Lockport NY and Sydney Allan, of Lockport NY; his great grandchild, Samuel Rookey of Fort Worth, TX (whom Bill affectionately nicknamed Sammy Bob); his sister Ginger Uticone of Niagara Falls, NY and his brother Richard Uticone of Florida; along with additional extended family.
Bill is preceded in death by; his mother Joan (Semerald) Uticone and Angelo Uticone. His father and mother-in-law, Carl and Iva McNaney, his brother and sister in-law, Richard and Judith McNaney.
A graveside service is scheduled for August 8, 2021, at 1:30pm, at Canoga Cemetery, Rt. 89 Seneca Falls, NY. Father Jim Fennessy from St. Francis and St. Clare Roman Catholic Church will officiate.
