Obituary of Denise Ann Waite

Denise Ann Waite passed away May 21, 2021.  Born September 28, 1951 in Punxsutawney, PA she was the daughter of Lawrence S. and Anna L. (Hagofsky) Atherton.  Denise graduated from Riverside High School in Buffalo Class of 1969 and earned her Associates degree and a certificate in Pastoral Ministry.  She was the apartment manager of the Odd Fellows Senior Living for several years.  Denise was a member of Rebekah Lodge for 60 years serving as a past president of the Rebekah Assembly of the State of New York.  She was predeceased by her husband Alvin J. Waite on August 10, 2012.

Denise is survived by her two children Rev. James A. Waite and Jennifer (John) Landis; grandchildren Michael and Olivia Broome; “brother” Rick Naples; “sisters” Cheryl Naples, Julie Naples, and Barbara Kendrick; predeceased by several brothers and sisters.

Relatives and friends may call Sunday, May 23^rd from 1-5 PM in Prudden & Kandt Funeral Home, 242 Genesee St., Lockport.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday, May 24^th at 10 AM in St. John the Baptist RC Church, 168 Chestnut St., Lockport.  Memorial donations to the church would be appreciated.  Visit pruddenandkandt.com.
