Obituary of Diane M. Goerss

Diane M. Goerss passed away peacefully surrounded by loved ones on May 7, 2021 after a courageous battle with cancer.  She was a loving wife, mother, and Gigi who enjoyed spending time with her family.  Diane was born July 23, 1958 in Lockport, a daughter of the late Donald O. and Kathleen (Delletro) Smith.  She worked for Ridge Road Express Bus Co. for 25 years where she was a school bus driver.  Diane was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in North Tonawanda and enjoyed playing Bingo and going to casinos.

Diane is survived by her husband Stephen Goerss; children Heather (Casey) Costello, Amy (Tony) Aquino, Stacey (Jose Guerra) Goerss, and Timothy (Heather Carson) Goerss; grandchildren Liam and Lucas Goerss, Riley and Gavin Costello, Aubrey and Ethan Aquino; siblings Donna (Bob) Czerniecki, David (Jamie Hammond) Smith, and Dora (Dennis) Cain; in-laws Sue (Charly) Kinne, Scott (Kim) Goerss, and Arnold Goerss, Jr.; also several nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends may call Tuesday, May 11^th from 4-7 PM in Prudden & Kandt Funeral Home, 242 Genesee St., Lockport.  Funeral services will be held Wednesday, May 12^th at 1 PM in St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, 453 Old Falls Blvd., North Tonawanda, NY  14120.  In Lieu of flowers, Memorial donations to Hospice Buffalo or American Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family.
