Obituary of Hubert K. Burns

Hubert K. Burns, 82, passed away peacefully at home on April 23, 2021, surrounded by his family and under the care of Niagara Hospice.  Born in Middleport, NY, he was the son of Martin and Verna (DeVereaux) Burns.  He served in the US Army from 1961-1963 and worked for 35 years for Harrison Radiator Division of GM, retiring as a Supervisor in 1998.  After GM, he kept himself busy by working at Heritage Manor of Lockport for many more years.

Hubert is survived by his loving wife of 56 years Kathleen (Rohde) Burns; children Timothy Burns, Kevin (Ruth Elise) Burns, and Kelly (David) Tyler; grandchildren Deanna Burns, Alec Burns, Steven Burns, and Brooklyn Tyler; siblings Vincent (Ruth) Burns, Ruth (late Michael) Prendergast, Rose Yates, Harold Burns, Carol (Peter) Anderson, Janet (late Ronald) DeChambeau, Paul Burns, and late Mary Jane (Edwin) Stolzenberg and Elizabeth (William) Coomey; also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends may call Sunday, April 25th from 1-5 PM at Prudden & Kandt Funeral Home, 242 Genesee St., Lockport.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday, April 26th at 10 AM at All Saints Parish, 76 Church St., Lockport.  Interment will be in Cold Springs Cemetery.  Visit www.pruddenandkandt.com for details.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center.
