Obituary of Nancy A. Holly
Nancy A. Holly passed away peacefully at her home April 11, 2021, cared for by her children with the guidance of Hospice. Born September 16, 1937 in North Tonawanda she was the daughter of Joseph and Frances (Graff) Stopa. Nancy was a Certified Nurse Assistant working for 30 years at St. Clare Manor in Lockport. After her retirement she started taking care of children, her home became known as “Nana’s Bootcamp”. Nancy was a mother to everyone of which her greatest accomplishment was raising her children. She will always be remembered as saying “The louder the house, the Better”. Nancy enjoyed cleaning, cooking, and the Buffalo Bills. She touched many lives young and old.
Nancy was predeceased by her husband Francis Brud Holly, Jr. on June 25, 1991. She is survived by her children Renee (Nick) Eberhard, Theresa Holly-Evans, Mary Frances (Kevin Brugger) Holly, Francis “Brud” (Tracy McKee) Holly, III, and Kathleen (Larry) Pudie; siblings Joseph (Helen) Stopa, Virginia (late Gene) Pickles, Lorraine (Carl) Wiltberger, and late Carol Murrell; eighteen grandchildren, six great grandchildren, fifteen nieces and nephews, three great nieces and nephews, and two great-great nieces and nephews; also several extended family and friends, including the Lockport Fire Department and best friend Carolyn Golanka.
Relatives and friends may call Thursday, April 15th from 5-8 PM in Prudden & Kandt Funeral Home, 242 Genesee St., Lockport. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday, April 16th at 10 AM in St. John the Baptist RC Church, 168 Chestnut St., Lockport. Interment will be in Cold Springs Cemetery.
