Obituary of Robert Naugle

Robert Thomas Naugle passed away Sunday February 27, 2011, under the care of Niagara Hospice. Born, August 20, 1927, in Swickley, Pa., he was the son of the late William R. and Edith Pope Naugle. He served in the US Navy from 1945 to 1948. Robert worked in production for Harrison Radiator for 34 years, retiring in 1987. He was a member of the UAW Local 686 and the American Legion B. Leo Dolan Post 410. He enjoyed fishing, playing golf, euchre and softball. He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Theresa (nee Asalone) Naugle of Lockport. Robert was the father of Michael E. (Donna) Naugle and Rebecca (Michael Kelkenberg) Ritz, both of Lockport and Brenda (Brad Peters) Naugle of CA. He was the grandfather of Christopher, Tierney and Taylor Naugle. Robert was the brother of John (Adeline) Naugle, Ernest (Karen) Naugle, Mary Ellen (Charles) Yost, Louise (George) Ross and Sarah (Donald) Burns, all of DuBois. Pa., Jean (Herbert) Nupp of Erie, Pa., Shirley (Paul) Mackin of AK. and Katherine (Paul) Thomas of Warren, OH. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews. Friends may call Wednesday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM in Prudden and Kandt Funeral Home, 242 Genesee Street, Lockport, where funeral services will be held Thursday morning at 11 AM.
