Obituary of Carol Schoelles
Carol L. Schoelles, 71, passed away March 23, 2021. Born July 7, 1949 in Lockport, she was the daughter of Harvey and Evelyn (Boerman) Pfennig. Carol was a survivor for over 15 years battling various forms of cancer. She worked many years as a caregiver for the elderly and disabled. She was an active volunteer for decades, encouraging bible education for her religion, Jehovah’s Witnesses. Carol was a compassionate and giving friend to all she knew, especially those in her Middleport congregation, who were her spiritual family for over 40 years. She will be greatly missed and lovingly remembered for her kind heart and sweet, giving nature.
Carol was the devoted wife of 51 years to Gordon Schoelles, and the loving mother of Jason (Lori) Schoelles and Rebecca (Nicholas) Orlando. She also was the caring, younger sister to John (Gail) Pfennig.
