Obituary of Rose Cappola

Rose S. Cappola (née Scapelliti) passed away February 18, 2021 in Brothers of Mercy Nursing Home in Clarence, NY. Born November 1, 1921 in Lockport, NY. She was the daughter of Domenico (Dominic) and Giuseppa (Josephine) (née Nunnari) Scopelliti. Rose worked as a Registered Nurse at Harrison Radiator as well as at her family’s store on Clinton Street, both in Lockport. She was married to Alfred J. Cappola on September 5, 1949 at St. Joseph’s Roman Catholic Church in Lockport where she was a long-time member.

Rose is survived by her sons Mark (Patricia) and Patrick (Debrah); grandchildren Kristin (Cameron) Jenness, Matthew Cappola, Elizabeth Cappola (fiancé Brendan Reynolds), and Alexander (Lauren) Cappola; great-grandchildren Elliot Jenness, Amelia Jenness, and Evangeline Jenness; and several nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her husband Alfred on January 16, 2013, her sister and brother-in-law Mary (Max) Fand and brother and sister-in-law Joseph (Elma) Scapelliti.

There will be no prior visitation.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday February 27^th at 10 AM at All Saints RC Parish, 76 Church Street, Lockport.  Entombment will be in Glenwood Mausoleum.  In Lieu of flowers, memorials to the American Heart Association, would be appreciated by the family.  Online condolences at www.pruddenandkandt.com.
