Mildred L. Skeets passed away August 14, 2009 in Niagara Hospice House. Born January 2, 1925 in Pendleton she was the daughter of the late William J. and Amelia C. (Miller) Kelsch. Mildred was a seamstress for 23 years at Lerch &amp; Daily Men's Store retiring in 1986. She enjoyed sewing, crosswords, collecting teddy bears, and gardening. Mildred was a member of St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church where she belonged to the Altar &amp; Rosary Society and also Mother's Club of DeSales School. She is survived by her loving husband of 63 years Alfred W. Skeets of Lockport whom she married in 1946; beloved mother of Linda (Daniel) Kilroy of Shrewsbury, MA, Darlene Chase of Lockport, NY and Patricia (Raymond) Duffy of Naples, FL; cherished grandmother of Thomas (Meredith) Kilroy of Rutland, MA, Patrick Kilroy of Shrewsbury, MA, Susan (Michael) Kilroy-Ames of Harvard, MA and Timothy Kilroy of Shrewsbury, MA; dear great grandmother of Abigail Kilroy-Ames and Clara Woods-Ames; also survived by several nieces. Mildred was predeceased by her brothers and sisters. Relatives and friends may call Monday 4-7 PM in Prudden &amp; Kandt Funeral Home, 242 Genesee Street, Lockport. A Mass of Christian Burial in celebration of Mildred's life will be Tuesday at 11:30 AM in St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church, 5 Saxton Street, Lockport. Interment will be in St. Mary's Cemetery. Memorials in her name to Niagara Hospice or Roswell Park Cancer Institute or the Niagara County SPCA or to a charity of one's choice would be appreciated by the family.
