Obituary of Charles H. Kephart
Charles H. Kephart passed away Friday January 1, 2021 at Elderwood at Lockport. Born July 15, 1936 in Decatur, Pennsylvannia, he was the son of the late Irene M. (Mayhue) and Orland Ganoe Kephart. He was married for 63 years to Eleanor (Yarger) Kephart, who preceded him in death on April 21, 2020. Also preceded in death by sisters Donna Harry and Shirley Kephart, and brother, Dewayne Kephart. He is survived by his sister, Gail (Dewayne) Royer.
He is also survived by his daughters, Kathy E. Kephart and Debra (Ronald W.) Ulrich, three grandchildren, Chelsea R. (Nick) Tarnoff and Dr. Carly R. Ulrich, DO, Zackary R. Kephart, and one great grandchild, Eleanor M. Tarnoff.
He was employed by Harrison Radiator in Plant Security, was a lifetime member and past treasurer of South Lockport Volunteer Fire Co., a deacon for Lockport Alliance Church and an avid hunter. Most of all he enjoyed his family.
The family wishes to extend their sincere thanks to the staff at Elderwood at Lockport throughout the past 5 years.
Due to the current situation with the coronavirus, a Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Private graveside services will be held. Interment will be in Cold Springs Cemetery.
