Obituary of James W. Couturier
James W. Couturier passed away December 27, 2020 at Eastern Niagara Hospital. He was born May 18, 1943 in Lockport, He was the son of Victor H. Couturier and W. Jessie (Wilson) Couturier.
James graduated from Lockport Senior High School in 1961. He served in the United States Army from 1962 to 1964 and was stationed at Fort Ord on Monterey Bay California. He was a life long resident of Lockport and retired from Buffalo Paperboard Corporation.
James was the proud father of the late James G. (Tracey) Couturier, Steven (Tabitha) Couturier, Jeffrey (Cally) Couturier and the late Patrick Couturier. Grandfather to Victoria, Alexander, Aubrey, Devin, Shane, Nathan and Evelyn Couturier. He is also survived by his brother Victor E. (Carol) Couturier.
He enjoyed reading books about the Old West and watching old Western movies. He also enjoyed spending time with and fishing with his good friend Murray Long.
There will be no prior visitation. A memorial service and celebration of life will be held in the future. Interment will be in Glenwood Cemetery.
