Arthur Schuler passed away Thursday February 3, 2011. Born May 5, 1927, in Cambria, NY, he was the son of the late Arthur and Mary Benthin Schuler. He worked for Harrison Radiator for 34 years, retiring in 1980. Arthur was a member of the I.O.O.B. and the Redman Club. He enjoyed attending auctions, was an avid antique collector, playing the lottery, sulky horse races and especially spending time with his family and friends. He is predeceased by his wife Dorothy Hellert Schuler.
Arthur is the father of Susan (Doug) Hesch of Newfane and step father of Barbara Minervino of GA. and Thomas Bauer of FL. He is also survived by his grandson Devin Hesch and step grandfather of Brandi Hesch-Condren, Renee Hasenfelt and Shere Bauer. Arthur was the brother of Dora Johnston of Ransomville, Robert Schuler of Cambria and the late John and Harold Schuler. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Friends may call Monday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM in Prudden and Kandt Funeral Home, 242 Genesee Street, Lockport, where services will be held Tuesday morning at 11 o'clock. Interment will be in Wheatfield Cemetery. Memorials to Niagara Hospice, would be appreciated by the family.
