Obituary of Georgia L. Benton
Georgia L. Benton passed away November 10, 2020 in Newfane Rehab & Health Care Center. Born December 3, 1926 in Syracuse, NY, she was the daughter of Clifford and Hazel Baysor. Georgia worked for A&B Sports Center and then at Corday’s, the Bon Ton department stores and she owned Victoria’s Mayfair Garden in the Lakeview Village shops in Olcott.. She enjoyed painting and drawing. Georgia was predeceased by her husband, Elbert L. Benton, son Thomas Benton and daughter-in-law Patricia Benton.
She is survived by her two sons Elbert N. Benton and Robert (Kathy) Benton; daughter-in-law Paula Benton; grandchildren Lee (Tanya), Arica, Joseph (Jill), Gina (Billy), and Alyssa; great grandchildren Aaliyah, Diondre, Anaya, Heaven, Tom and George.
Friends may call Saturday, Nov. 14th from 11 AM – 1 PM with services following at 1 PM in Prudden & Kandt Funeral Home, 242 Genesee St., Lockport. Interment will be in Cold Springs Cemetery. Visit pruddenandkandt.com.
