Roberta Doxey Obituary

Roberta Jean Doxey passed away Saturday January 29, 2011 in Eastern Niagara Hospital, Lockport. Born October 25, 1933 in Olean, NY, she was the daughter of the late Eugene and Violet Phoenix Hewitt. Roberta collected roosters, wind chimes and angels, and enjoyed Bingo and Christmas time. She is predeceased by her husband James Doxey, who passed away January 29, 1997.


Roberta was the mother of Joseph E. Doxey, Michael T. (Allison) Doxey, Linda K. (Rodney) Lilley, Richard L. (Josephine) Doxey, Donald J. (Tracey) Doxey and John E. (Betty) Doxey all of Lockport, Patricia A. (Abe) Saylor and Kathy A. (David) Steen both of Florida, and the late James E. Doxey Jr. and Donna M. Burris. Roberta was the grandmother of 31 and several great grandchildren.


Friends may call Thursday and Friday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM in Prudden and Kandt Funeral Home, 242 Genesee Street, Lockport where prayers will be offered at 9:30 AM followed by a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 10 o'clock in St. John the Baptist Church, 168 Chestnut Street, Lockport. Interment will be in Acacia Park Cemetery.





Visitation

Friends may call Thursday and Friday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM in Prudden and Kandt Funeral Home, 242 Genesee Street, Lockport where prayers will be offered Saturday at 9:30 Am.


Services

A Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated Saturday at 10 o'clock in St. John the Baptist Church, 168 Chestnut Street, Lockport.


Interment

Interment will be in Acacia Park Cemetery.
