Obituary of Elsie May Schmeelke

Elsie May Schmeelke passed away October 3, 2020 in the comfort of her own home surrounded by her 5 children. Born in Keeseville, New York on May 19, 1944. She was the daughter of Clifford N. and Laura (Varin) Lancto.  Elsie had an endless variety of occupational skills, babysitting was her love, the children she cared for became like her own. She was a hard-diligent worker in all that she did. Elsie is survived by her sister Shelby (Lancto) Donahue and Earl Lancto both of Boynton Beach Florida. Mother of Julie (Thomas) Schmeelke Eisele of Rochester, William (Kathy) Schmeelke Stolfi of Apex NC, Lisa Schmeelke Stolfi of Rochester, Christopher (Margo) Schmeelke of Lockport and Keith (Rhonda) Schmeelke of Freedom, NY; grandmother of seventeen and great grandmother of four. There will be no prior visitation. Elsie will be laid to rest next to William Schmeelke in Bath, NY at Bath National Cemetery.
