Obituary of Shirley Butcher
Shirley R. Butcher passed away September 23, 2020 in Lockport Rehab & Health Care Center. Born November 23, 1926 in Lockport she was the daughter of Glenn and Ruth (Tucker) Compton. Shirley was a Lockport Senior High School graduate Class of 1944 and was a member of Lockport Chorale and 29 & Holding. She enjoyed going to the cottage on Keuka Lake, bowling, birdwatching, working on genealogy, birdwatching, and traveling with her husband all over the world. Shirley was predeceased by her husband, whom she married May 31, 1946, Donald Butcher on January 21, 2016. She was also predeceased by two grandchildren, Stacey Micoli and Mark Czechowski.
Shirley is survived by her children Andrea (Dr. Nelson) Klyver, Bonnie (Thomas) Czechowski, Stephen (Cindy) Butcher, and Dr. Elizabeth (Roger) Micoli; nine grandchildren and six great grandchildren; sister Carol McClellan.
Relatives and friends may call Saturday, September 26th from 11 AM – 12 Noon in Prudden & Kandt Funeral Home, 242 Genesee St., Lockport. Interment will be in Cold Springs Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations to a charity of one’s choice. Visit pruddenandkandt.com.
