Obituary of Mary S. Lute
Mary S. Lute passed away August 28, 2020. Born November 25, 1927 in Lockport she was the daughter of Joseph C. and Rose (Rellinger) Schafer. Mary was a St. Joseph alum and was a member of St. John the Baptist RC Church where she served as a eucharistic minister and also served at Briody’s Health care Facility. She enjoyed gardening, reading, and especially loved to spend time with her family which was very important to her.
Mary was predeceased by her husband, Robert Lute on November 15, 2013. She is survived by her children Frederick ‘Fred’ (Dorothy) Lute, Maryann (late Patrick) Colletti, Karen (late David) Miller, and Virginia (Michael) Thompson; eleven grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, sister of Elizabeth (late Grant) Colley, and late Joseph Schafer and Kathryn Schafer and great granddaughter, Fiona Miller. Also survived by Pastor Richard (Patricia) Lute and several nieces and nephews.
