Obituary of Leon Yvonne Smith
Leon Yvonne Smith passed away July 31, 2020 in Niagara Hospice House. Born November 1, 1931 in Barrie, Ontario, Canada she was the daughter of Louis F. and Blanche (Hawkins) Glenn. Leon was a registered nurse and worked for St. Clare Manor in Lockport for 13 years retiring in 2001. Prior to working at St. Clare Manor she also worked at Lockport Memorial Hospital and Dr. Braden Fitzgerald private practice. Leon was a member of the Eastern Star 559 Angelous Chapter, Card Club, First Presbyterian Church where she was active on several committees. She is predeceased by her husband, Donald R. Smith, who passed away on April 10, 1996.
Leon is survived by her children Susan M. (Dennis) McKeever, Paul D. (Santy) Smith, and Brian D. (Lynne) Smith; grandchildren Ginna Smith, Adam Smith, Benjamin Smith, Samantha Smith, Anthony Giambattista, Robert Giambattista, Glenn McKeever; great grandmother of Adriana, Liam, Remington; sister Aileen (Roger) LeBlanc.
