To my brother John who always had a smile in his eyes and kindness on his lips. How you loved puttering around in your yard and lining up projects for the future. And the devotion to your family was special. You were an amazing husband, dad, brother and grandpa.
I will always remember the pink cowgirl boots Claudia needed and your joy in being able to get them for her. Because they were certainly needed, you know.
I miss hearing your good-bye on the telephone. "Bye Merl. Love ya". And he did love all of us so dearly--it showed in the way he lived his life, with joy and laughter and loving kindness.
