Obituary of Frederick Gottman

Frederick A. Gottman passed away January 25, 2011 in Eastern Niagara Hospital, Lockport. Born November 12, 1937 in Lockport he was the son of William and Margaret (Holst) Gottman. He graduated from Lockport High School and attended college and played football at Taft Junior College in Bakersfield, CA then went on to California State Polytechnic Institute earning a Industrial Engineer degree. Frederick began his working career at Buick Motors �" GM in Flint, MI and worked for 37 years for Harrison Radiator/Delphi. He enjoyed golfing in the retiree's league, racing at Ransomville with great friends, and spending time with family and friends in Florida and at his lake house in Sodus Point. Frederick especially enjoyed time spent with his grandchildren. Frederick is survived by his wife Diane (Donner) Gottman of Gasport; father of Christine (David) Covel of Syracuse, Michael (Lisa) Gottman of Apollo Beach, FL, Brenda (Howard) Petro of Liberty, NY and Brian (fiancé Kim Foster) Gottman of Gasport; grandfather of Joshua, Benjamin, and Jordan Covel, Olivia and Hanna Gottman; brother Carol (Jack) Clark of Liberty, NY, Roxanne (Jim) Murch of Spencerport, the late William, Gordon, Carl Michael Gottman and Betty Maerten; also survived by several nieces and nephews.
