Obituary of Ruth M. Shepard
Ruth M. Shepard passed away June 26, 2020 in Lockport Rehab & Health Care Center. Born November 13, 1915 in Lockport she was the daughter of George and Mary Elizabeth (Vokes) Swing. Ruth and her husband Harry C. Shaffer ran a dairy farm for 45 years, he predeceased her in 1981. She enjoyed going to Florida in the winters with husband, Leo Shepard, he predeceased her in 1994. Ruth was a member of the Home Bureau. Besides her husband’s she was also predeceased by her daughter Rita (late Kenneth) Lasal and siblings James Swing, Lester Swing, and Hazel Frantz.
Ruth is survived by her daughter Annette (Charlie Burd) Hare; grandchildren Jeffery (Debora) Lasal, Julie (James) Greene, and Steven Hare; great grandchildren Kaitlyn Lasal, Christian Lasal, Collin Hayes, and Jacob Hare.
Private services will be held for the family. Interment will be in Huskey Cemetery. Visit pruddenandkandt.com.
