I am so sorry to hear this. Mrs. LaGreca was my lunch monitor at Charles Upson. I grew up with life-threatening food allergies, and she always looked out for me to make sure that I didn’t touch or consume anything that would be harmful. She was the nicest person and always a ray of sunshine. I have such fond memories of her! Sending love and prayers to her entire family.

Ro was one of my very best friends... from when we moved to Lockport in 1977. She was an amazing neighbor and always a pot of coffee and an open house. I will never forget all the wonderful times we had, the laughter and the unconditional friendship. She was so proud of her boys and her beautiful grandchildren and shared pictures and stories every time we got together. And she was very happy with her daughters-in-law... they were her daughters and she loved them. And Tom was her rock and her marriage was an inspiration to us of how a marriage should be. I will miss you more than I can say.

I know Mrs. LaGreca was a great mother to all her children, a wonderful wife, a loving grandmother. I remember her when I was in high school with her son Joe. I have been through a lot in my life, lost my father, then my brother & finally my Mother, who was there for me then and for years after was her son, Joe. He is a living memorial to his mother's values of loving and caring for others.
We are all on the journey of life. We meet many people but especially our family members. Some we lose contact with then we meet others. Each interaction leaves an impression upon us and we leave an impression on them. Joe, your mom touched many lives and she left them better people. You have done that for me and I share your grief. Now there is great sorrow for your family, but as time passes her memory will bring a smile to your face. Her love will be with you everyday & her spirit will give you strength.
Tony DiRaffael for Peter Trentacoste.
