Obituary of Eleanor Kephart

Eleanor R. Kephart passed away April 21, 2020 in Elderwood at Lockport. Born August 14, 1935 in Sanborn, PA., she was the daughter of Lloyd and Ada (Richner) Yarger. Eleanor worked for Siegal’s Furniture in Lockport where she was the office manager and also as a secretary at George Southard Elementary School. She was a member of the Lockport Alliance Church where she served as a deaconess. Eleanor enjoyed spending time with her family and baking especially chocolate cake with peanut butter frosting. Eleanor is survived by her husband of 63 years, Charles Kephart; daughters Kathy Kephart and Debra (Ronald) Ulrich; grandchildren Zackary Kephart, Chelsea (Nicholas) Tarnoff, and Carly Ulrich; great granddaughter Eleanor M. Tarnoff; siblings Ethel Kephart, Frances (Donald) Guisewhite and late Kate Kephart, Leah Russell, David Yarger and Earl Yarger; also survived by several nieces and nephews. Due to the current situation with the coronavirus, a Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Private graveside services will be held. Interment will be in Cold Springs Cemetery.
