Amerigo (Ben) Benedetti of Lockport passed away April 21, 2020 in Elderwood at Lockport. Born April 17th 1926 to the late Nicholas and Filomena (Galante) Benedetti in Casalbordino, Italy. Residing in Fairport, NY before moving to Lockport. Ben served state side in the US Army as a rifle instructor at Ft. Benning GA during WWII. He came home to Lockport and married his sweetheart Lilly Mangiafesto. They had 48 years together before her passing in 1994. Ben worked as a carpenter, mason for Harley Dieter. After, he started work at Harrison Radiator as a tradesman in 1950. Retired after 35 years of service in 1985. After retirement he and his wife
spent several winters with his family in Arizona. Enjoying the outdoors Ben was an avid hunter and fisherman. He loved shooting skeet and trap with his friends at the Cabin Range.
Survived by three sons Michael, David and Paul (Susan) Benedetti; eight grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. Also survived by his sister Vera Mangiafesto; many nieces and nephews.
