John, Lydia, Marika, and Family,
May the love of God and the peace of the Lord Jesus Christ bless and console you and gently wipe every tear from your eyes.
Eternal rest grant unto Clara, O Lord. And let perpetual light shine upon her. May Clara's soul and the souls of all the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace. Amen.

I met Clara when the CLASS program for elementary students, which I taught, was stationed at the High School.
Clara came to my room, introduced herself and made me feel welcome to be part of the high school staff.
She always had a wonderful smile and kind words for everyone. She certainly made my stay pleasant and she was immensely helpful. The program was moved later to another school so I lost touch with her. However, I would run into her at Olcott Beach Carousel Park, which I operate, during the summer where she brought her grandchildren. It was always a pleasure
to see her and watch her lovingly interact with her grandchildren. My condolences to her family.

Mrs. Smith was a wonderful teacher, who really turned me on to psychology. I remember much of what she taught me and still quote facts I learned from her. I have always remembered her fondly, and I am sad to hear of her passing. I'll never forget her love of teaching. God bless you, Mrs. Smith.

Mrs. Smith was an outstanding teacher with a passion for her subjects that she passed on to many students including me. I always appreciated her kindness and interest in me. She had a zest for life and encouraged her students to try anything that was legal and moral! My condolences to all her family and friends. You will be in my prayers.

One of the memorable people I have had the pleasure to know. I first met her as the parent of one of my students. I was fortunate to have both Lydia and Marika in my class. Clare was a ray of sunshine every time we met. Her warm smile and bubbling personality will be missed by many. It was a pleasure to have known her. She will live on in your hearts and the memories of the special times you had together.

My heart goes out to Her family. She was the most enthusiastic teacher I’ve ever had and yet she told us all to put our heads down and shut our eyes (very bold move with 11th graders) and go to our happy/most favorite place...... we were already there. Xoxo

Very thoughts and prayers to Mrs. Smith's family. I had her as a teacher in high school in 1985-86. She is one of the teacher's that left a lasting impression on me. The exercise that she had as do at the start of each class I still use today. I am forever grateful that she taught me how to have a moment of calm and meditation. Thank you Mrs. Smith for making a difference in the lives of so many.

To Clara's family, my deepest sympathy goes out to all of you. I had Mrs. Smith many, many years ago as one of my teachers at Lockport high school. She was always so caring and thoughtful to her students and was always smiling and went out of her way to say hello. God received another angel in heaven today !!! Thoughts and prayers.
