Obituary of Daniel M. Baughman

Daniel Melvin Baughman, age 48, of Lockport, N.Y. passed away peacefully on Thursday, April 2, 2020 at Buffalo General Hospital. Dan was born December 12, 1971, in Lockport, N.Y. to Phil and Linda Baughman. He graduated from Lockport High School. He was a journeyman for the Operating Engineer Local 17. Dan enjoyed the outdoors. He was often found riding his snowmobile, four wheeler and his side by side. He was an avid bow and shotgun hunter, traper, and fisherman. Dan was well known for his racing career at Ransomville Speedway; where he raced street stocks for many years. He truly loved this sport. Working on the car with his family and friends brought him much joy. His greatest pride was his nieces and nephew. He loved to chat and joke with them on the phone and make them laugh. Dan is survived by his parents, Phil and Linda Baughman; his sisters, Deanne Baughman and Debra(Jake) Cady; his nieces, Ashley Brassard, Alyssa, Jenna, and Hailey Cady; his nephew Brandon Brassard; his grandmother Adeleine Baughman. Dan was predeceased by his grandparents, Melvin Henry Baugman, Nelson (Jack) and Jeanette Carlton Rhinehart. A private burial was held by the family at North Ridge Cemetery.
